HARLOW FOODBANK VOLUNTEERS RECEIVE A CIVIC AWARD FROM HARLOW COUNCIL

At a Harlow Council Civic and Community Award Ceremony on Thursday 25th May 2017 Harlow Foodbank volunteers received a Civic Award for their work both at the foodbank Store House and Satellite Centre in Harlow.

Edna Stevens, Chair of Harlow Council, presented the award to Gary Knott, Duncan Craig and David Evans, and thanked all foodbank volunteers for their valuable contribution and work in the community, which has helped so many people.

Gary Knott, Director of Community Services, commented

“It was a great privilege to join foodbank staff and volunteers to receive this Civic Award on behalf of our wonderful team of foodbank volunteers, who do such valuable work in the community each week.  This award is an acknowledgement of that work and I would also like to thank them on behalf of MRCT”
