Boot Sale for Maybury Open Door

June 2014

On a very warm and sunny day a small team of Maybury Open Door staff and volunteers had a charity stall at a Boot Sale at the Pinnacles in Harlow to raise much needed money for Maybury Open Door.  There was plenty of items on sale during the day, generously donated by our charity supporters, and there was also lots of enquiries about our work with some people taking home a leaflet.

By the end of the day the team had exceeded their expectations and raised £104.75 from their daily sales and with other previous EBay online sales and money raised by taking a Maybury Open Door collection box around other stall holders the total raised was £275.95.

Karolina Sadowska who organised this fundraising event commented

I would like to thank everybody for all their bric-a-brac and cash donations which has really helped us to raise money and this will go towards the work of Maybury Open Door in Harlow.  I am so grateful for this support which has helped me to beat my fundraising target of £200.  I would also like to thank Liz Bellworthy, Liz Caladine and Pauline for their wonderful help on the day.
