Once again at Christmas time

January 2014

Once again at Christmas time we are grateful for people and organisations that show their generosity and help to those in need.

Special thanks to the students at Herts & Essex High School for their lovely donations of Christmas hampers that are being distributed to local families in need.

Many thanks to the Year 7 students from Burnt Mill Academy helping at the Lok’nStore warehouse.

Thank you to the staff and children at Church Langley Primary School for their wonderful donations of colourfully wrapped presents which are being given out to the children at a local refuge this Christmas.

Thanks to the staff at Pearson Education in Harlow for dressing up in nativity costumes to raise money and awareness for Harlow Foodbank.

Thanks to The Dove Partnership for their donations received at Lok’nStore.

Thank you to staff from Halifax Harlow helping us with sorting at the Lok’nStore warehouse.

Special thanks to Charles & Lindsey Abbey at East End Farm in Roydon who provided us with free turkeys again this year for local people in crisis.  This is the 4th year that we have been given these free turkeys and we are extremely grateful and appreciative of this partnership, which really has helped and supported many families in crisis.

Thank you to all our partner agencies and schools who have been along to the Lok’nStore warehouse this period to collect Christmas items to distribute to those families and children in crisis that they work with.

A BIG THANK YOU to all our staff, volunteers, partners, organisations and friends who have helped and supported us through 2013.

Here’s some feedback –

I visited the Harlow Foodbank for 3 of our families yesterday that needed the ‘special’ bits for Christmas, for their children.  I cannot thank you enough for what you helped me achieve.

One of my mums cried and said “My children really will believe  Santa came, they won’t believe they have these bits the same as their friends.  I don’t know how to thank everyone for what they have done for me. I can now make their day special.”

Wow!

You helped me achieve that by donating the  Christmas bits.  I don’t believe people understand how hard it is at the moment for young families.  Without teams like ours, teams like you at the Foodbank and charities that support us, I would dread to think what these families would endure this Christmas break.  I smiled the whole way back from your depot yesterday.  I knew what this would mean to those mums.    Your amazing….thank you x x

To Gary, Lee and the Support Team,

Have just got back from delivering the food parcels to families in Harlow.  They were absolutely delighted and thrilled.  They really appreciated the food and goodies.  I know it will make their Christmas a brighter one.

THANK  YOU all so much.

Have a very Happy Christmas and all good wishes for 2014

Dorothy and Zoe Nelson

I would just like to say a big thank for the food hampers and Christmas treats, the two families that I have donated them too are so grateful.

It was great to come along to the warehouse and be able to pick the treats that the family needed and would really benefit from.

Once again thank you and merry Christmas.

Our clients were extremely grateful and we gave the turkeys out to four refuges.  Along with all the other donations that we received from you the parcels from Church Langley Primary School,  the selection boxes, and of course the food parcels really have made a huge difference to our women and children who were in refuge over Christmas.

A huge Thankyou from Safer Places
