‘Christmas turkeys and treats’

News

January 2014

Special thanks to Charles & Lindsey Abbey at East End Farm in Roydon who provided us with free turkeys again this year for local people in crisis.  This is the 4th year that we have been given these free turkeys and we are extremely grateful and appreciative of this partnership, which really has helped and supported many families in crisis.

Whilst we were picking up the turkeys from the farm one female employee donated 2 x 56lb potatoes and asked us to give them out to people when they were receiving their turkeys, which we were delighted to do on Christmas Eve.  We also provided Christmas food items alongside the turkeys and potatoes.

“I would like to thank the people of Harlow and the surrounding area for their very kind donations of festive food which has helped so many families over the Christmas period.  Special thanks as well must go to the schools, organizations, businesses and to Tesco and East End Farm as their additional donations have again made a real difference to the lives of local people who may not have had much food this Christmas for their families”
