If you work in a professional or voluntary capacity assisting the public in Harlow and the surrounding area then you can become one of our Referral Agencies providing FOOD VOUCHERS to people that you meet who are in need of emergency food.
Referral Agencies can include local Welfare and Voluntary Services, Social Services, Church Ministers, Probation Services, Salvation Army, Job Centres and other front-line agencies working with and identifying people in crisis.
Becoming a Referral Agency is straightforward
- Download our Referral Agency Handbook or call the Harlow foodbank on 01279 724 515 and ask us to post one to you.
- Ring our office (01279 724515) and ask to be sent an ‘Authorised Signatories’ form which should be completed by yourself and other work colleagues who may also wish to be able to give out our food vouchers.
- Arrange a day/time to meet with our Foodbank Manager at the MRCT Office (see below for contact number) to discuss the referral procedure and ask any questions you may have about the service.
- We will then send you your first set of foodbank vouchers that you can use to help families or individuals in crisis in Harlow and the surrounding area
